13 Days of January | Day 2: Happiness!

Salut les filles ! Voici ma manucure pour le jour n°2 du challenge "13 Days of January".

Hi guys! Here is my mani for the day 2 of the 13 Days of January Nail Art Challenge.

Le thème du jour 2 était "Happiness" et j'ai vraiment eu du mal à me décider sur ce que j'allais faire. Qu'est-ce que le bonheur pour moi? Qu'est-ce qui me rend heureuse? Eh bien, la première chose qui me soit venue à l'idée c'est que le bonheur c'est quand je ne travaille pas, lol! Alors évidemment pas facile de retranscrire ça sur des ongles! XD Du coup, j'ai pensé à ce que j'aime faire quand je ne travaille pas et ça c'est super facile: le nail art !!! Ben oui! Pour celles qui n'ont jamais lu ma section "A propos de moi", je bosse dans l'industrie alimentaire et la réglementation interdit le port de vernis à ongles. Du coup, je ne peux jamais m’exercer au nail art les jours de semaines :( 

The prompt for day 2 is "Happiness" and I had a hard time deciding what to to!!! What makes me happy? Well... the first thing that came to my mind is "not working", lol! Yes that's what makes me really happy!!! :P (Actually today is the last day of my week of holidays, so I'm sad!). Obviously "not working" is something pretty hard to translate onto nails, lol! So I tried to think of what I love to do when I'm not working and that was easy: nail art!!! Hehe! If there is one thing I can't do on working days that's nail art! For those who haven't read my "About me" tab, I work in food safety and quality, which means that I am not allowed to wear nail polish at work :( So, for me, happiness = non working days = yay I can finally do some nail arts! :D ^^

Mes nail arts préférés sont ceux fait au pinceau, de jolis petits tableaux éphémères. Bien sûr, ça prend un peu plus de temps que du stamping par exemple, mais c'est beaucoup plus fun! Sur Pinterest, j'ai un tableau qui s'appelle "Amazing manicures", il contient beaucoup de manucures de ce type, des nail arts tellement magnifiques que je sais que je n'arriverai jamais à faire aussi bien. Pour ce challenge, j'ai décidé de surmonter mes peurs et j'ai tenté de reproduire l'un d'entre eux!

The freehanded nail arts are the ones I love the most! It takes more time but it's funnier. I pinned lots of freehand nail arts in my "Amazing manicures" board on Pinterest over the past few years. On this board, I only pin manicures that are so awesome that I know I couldn't do something as beautiful myself. For this challenge, I overcame my fears and tried to reproduce one of them!

Le nail art original est une manucure de Lindsey @ Wondrously Polished, oui comme pour mes galaxy nails du jour 1 ! En plus, j'ai eu de la chance, elle a aussi fait un tutoriel pour cette mani! :P

J'ai choisi ce nail art car une autre chose qui me rend heureuse, ce sont les fleurs et en particulier les orchidées!!! Ce sont mes fleurs préférées, je les adore ♥

The original nail art is a manicure of Lindsey @ Wondrously Polished, yep like my galaxy nails of day 1! And, I was lucky cause Lindsey made a tutorial too, yay! :P I chose this manicure because one of the other things that makes me happy are flowers, especially orchids!!! They are my favorite flowers, I absolutely love them ♥

La couleur de base est OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Pour les orchidées, j'ai utilisé Pahlish Petropolis, Kiko 355 Canary Yellow, et de la peinture acrylique noire et de la blanche.

The base color is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. For the orchids, I used Pahlish Petropolis, Kiko 355 Canary Yellow, and black and white acrylic paints.

La version de Lindsey est plus jolie mais la mienne n'est pas si mal, surtout en vrai, sans les gros plans comme sur les photos ^^

Lindsey's original version is more beautiful but I'm pretty happy with mine. I think it looks great at arm's length.
