St. Catherine's Day! || China Glaze Lemon Fizz

Il y a deux jours c'était la Sainte Catherine... ayant eu 25 ans le mois dernier, je suis donc devenue une véritable Catherinette !!! ^^ Les traditions de la Ste Catherine se sont perdus au fil du temps, plus dans certaines régions de France que d'autres. Dans le nord, par exemple, les petites filles s'échangent toujours des cartes de Sainte Catherine le 25 Novembre, comme je l'ai fait moi-même étant plus jeune =) Cependant, il y a une chose dont je n'étais pas au courant... le chapeau de Sainte Catherine!!! (voir article Wikipedia) MAIS une de mes "tantes" connaît bien la tradition est m'a confectionné un joli chapeau rempli de tout ce que j'aime !!! 

In France, "On St. Catherine's Day, it is customary for unmarried women to pray for husbands, and to honour women who've reached 25 years of age but haven't married - called "Catherinettes" in France. Catherinettes send postcards to each other, and friends of the Catherinettes make hats for them - traditionally using the colours yellow (faith) and green (wisdom), often outrageous - and crown them for the day." - from Wikipedia. This tradition disappeared in time... BUT one of my "aunt" knows it very well and she made me a St. Catherine's hat!!! (I turned 25 last month remember?) Every hat is unique and personalized. So here's mine full of things I like ^^

Et donc bien évidemment, j'ai "dû" (oui oui c'était obligatoire) accorder mes ongles avec mon nouvel accessoire ^^

To match with my new hat, I had to paint my nails with yellow and green... =)

Pour réaliser ce design de Sainte Catherine, j'ai appliqué 3 couches de China Glaze Lemon Fizz. Je ne suis pas vraiment habituée à en mettre plus de 2, mais la troisième couche était vraiment obligatoire!

J'ai crée les fleurs avec mon dotting tool et China Glaze For Audrey (je n'ai pas de vernis vert :( donc j'ai utilisé For Audrey, qui est plutôt turquoise) + Color Club Club What a Drag.

For this design I had to apply 3 coats of China Glaze Lemon Fizz. I'm not used to apply more than 2 coats but there were still blanks, so the third coat was absolutely necessary! I created flowers with my dotting tool and China Glaze For Audrey because I don't have a green polish :( so I used For Audrey, which is turquoise, + Color Club Club What a Drag.
